I received a feedback a month ago in office - 'You’re late coming to the office pass negative vibes in the team'. I was stunned!!!!!… The first thought that stirred my mind was – What are negative vibes? Normally I don’t accept any feedback seriously but this one was important because it impacted other members as well. I requested my manager to make me clearly understand this terminology. With no convincing response..... I didn’t gave any marginal importance to this petty issue :)
In this week, on the eve of 61st Independence the Indian boxers brought immense delight in the ongoing Beijing 2008 Olympics games. It all began when Akhil Kumar upset the Russian world champion to qualify for the quarter finals in 54 kg wt category. His strong determination indicated there is only one medal to be won... GOLD. May be this confidence was boosted by Abhinav Bindra first individual gold medal win a week before. In the next two days two more fellow athletes– Jitender and Vijender Kumar followed the bandwagon and qualified for the quarter finals with convincing wins. No doubt their hard work and dedication will bring laurels for the nation but the self-belief was also stimulated by the gold already won. It made them believe that - ‘imPOSSIBLE iS nOTHING’, if one can perform ….others are no less.
The inspiration from another individual can defined as influenced by the positive vibrations. It made me think again on the term - negative vibrations. Finally I anticipated a threat!!!!
It’s obvious that we learn from our team members. I was assured that none of the team members – (Nitin, Puneet, Akhil, Shikar, Vinay, and Pranshu) actually compute the time of my arrival at office and no work was affected as I am usually present before the time of daily morning meeting. The hazardous constituent was my manager. It is obvious that one who adopts her professional behavior at workplace, will soon become socially unacceptable citizen of the society. Before this virus infects me … I insist a roll off from the team and hope others remain cautious.
Comments are awaited from my team members to support my opinion
GOOD Luck to the India boxing champs for the week ahead.

What can be positive vibrations for one can be negative for another just like sound become music as well as noise. What your colleagues might take your working style as cool your boss may take it as entirely inappropriate. Its not worth giving it too much importance.
Good one Anmol Singh....
But i would like you to concentrate on creating the IA doc for PR 17875. Otherwise it will create Negative Vibrations in both our Asses!!!!!
so ...there are two ways to manage a team..Either you can manage a "rajputana rifles" kind of team who will even go for loo with the permission of manager.and will laugh if manager is happy and will sob if manager lost some hairs of her dog..
On other hand you can have a team like a group of pessangers in second class sleeper of indin railway..where you will find that everybody is everybody's friend, sharing jokes, caring for elders, sharing home made food and even exchanging contact details of each other and this too in a journey of few hours..
finally... it all depends on your leadership.. if they are willing to show trust and respect your dedication in project then these materialistic things osnt count at all...
By the way Anmol...any specific reasons for comin late..
@Vinay : There are some BIG REASONS for my coming AT MY TIME to the office.

jiske ghar khud seesha ke ho woh doosre ke ghar mein pathar nahi pehkte ha..... woh toh aapke Rs 100 ka karz tha T-Com par, jiise aap majboor ho time par aane ke liye....else u also have BIG REASONS
Wat I can think is thr r two types of leadership...one is a watchdog and the other one who wants to keep u a free bird...
n as its alwys said people behave the same way they had been treated...
so it mght b a possibility that ur leadesip's leadership would hv been the same n bad luck - frustration on "this team"
n we bfr had seen a good leadersip...part n parcel of long job tenure...
roll off decision a good one fr u n fr leadership
